Point of Ness campsite, Stromness and the 3 hostels are all owned and maintained to a high standard by Orkney Islands Council and are affiliated to the Scottish Youth Hostel Association. All 3 hostels offer exclusive, family and single room bookings. Group bookings are also welcome. Point of Ness campsite is located in Stromness, a quiet site in an idyllic position overlooking the hills of Hoy. Birsay Outdoor Centre offers 3 star accommodation in the northwest corner of Orkney mainland, close to dramatic cliffs and quiet beaches. Camping is also available in the grounds.

Hoy Centre offers 4 star accommodation in the stunning island of Hoy. There are 8 spacious en-suite bedrooms, one of which has disabled access. Each room sleeps 4 in 2 single and 1 bunk bed. Large fully equipped kitchen and dining hall. Rackwick Outdoor Centre has 2 rooms with 4 beds in each. The Hostel overlooks Rackwick Bay and is 3 miles from the famous seastack "The Old Main of Hoy". Sheltered camping area is also available to the rear of the hostel, the price of which includes access to facilities. Orkney is a fabulous destination and there are no shortages of things to see and do on the island. There are quiet sandy beaches, stunning scenery, an abundance of wildlife and a rich and fascinating history dating back 5000 years. Whatever your taste, you are sure to find something to suit on this beautiful island.
