Pretty self catering holiday cottage in stunning location on the west side of South Ronaldsay, Orkney. This beautifully renovated, spacious yet homely, farmhouse overlooks Sandwich Bay, a five minute walk away and is in a fantastic location for seal and bird watching. It is surrounded by the owners farmland and is ideal for those seeking a peaceful holiday destination with cycling and walking tracks closeby. The tranquility allows one to hear the wonderful bird songs throughout the year and there are many interesting walks, craft trails and beautiful beaches in the surrounding area.
The farmhouse has been awarded 3 stars by the Scottish Tourism Council and it's spacious accommodation includes a sitting room with coal fire, living room and a fitted kitchen with all the neccessary applicances needed for a stress-free holiday. There is a downstairs shower room with an additional toilet and wash hand basin upstairs. To the exterior, there is a small enclosed garden and also a large lawn area to the front of the property.

Directions
From Stromness drive to Kirkwall and follow signs for South Ronaldsay/Burwick (A961). From St. Margaret’s Hope/Gills Bay ferry take the A961, then turn right to Burwick. Follow this road passing fuel station and take the next right (sign posted Sandwick). The single track road heads towards the bay then turns sharply uphill. You will see West Shaird straight ahead on your right.
