Attractive self catering holiday cottage in stunning location on the west side of South Ronaldsay, Orkney. This beautifully renovated, spacious yet homely, farmhouse overlooks Sandwich Bay, a five minute walk away and is in a fantastic location for seal and bird watching. It is surrounded by the owners farmland and is ideal for those seeking a peaceful holiday destination with cycling and walking tracks closeby. The tranquility allows one to hear the wonderful bird songs throughout the year and there are many interesting walks, craft trails and beautiful beaches in the surrounding area.

The farmhouse has been awarded a high 3 stars by Visitscotland. Spacious accommodation includes a sitting room with coal fire, TV, DVD, living/dining room, fitted kitchen with all the neccessary applicances needed for a stress-free holiday. There is a downstairs shower room with an additional toilet and wash hand basin upstairs. The living room has a multi-fuel stove and the whole house has oil central heating. To the exterior, there is a small enclosed garden and also a large lawn area to the front of the property. There is ample parking beside the house.

There are three bedrooms at the property comprising one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one bedroom with bunk beds.

Specialities

Towels, bed linen and all fuel are included in the price. The peaceful location provides many opportunities for birdwatching, beach and cliff walking. Last year we had oystercatchers, lapwings, curlews, blackbirds, starlings, larks, meadow pippits and crows all nesting on our property. All amenities are within easy access.
