Benside Cottage is a traditional croft house located in the quiet Isle of Lewis village of Benside. The cottage occupies an elevated position overlooking the main town of Stornoway and across Broadbay. The house has been recently renovated and retains all the character of a traditional croft house whilst offering all the needs of a modern lifestyle. The Isle of Lewis is situated in the Outer Hebrides. It is the home of the world famous Callanish stones (an ancient stone circle dating back to 2000BC) and boasts miles and miles of beautiful unspoilt beaches. The wild Atlantic swell produces some of the best surf in the country. It is the perfect location to enjoy activities such as walking, cycling, fishing and birdwatching...

The house has been tastefully refurbished throughout and the fully fitted modern kitchen has electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The comfortable lounge provides the perfect place in which to relax after a busy day exploring and features an LCD digital TV, HiFi with iPod docking station, Playstation and games and a selection of books. The cottage has been our family's home since the 1950s and belonged to my late Grandmother. We have taken great care to refurbish the cottage to the very highest standards to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
