The accommodation consists of 5 double bedrooms, 3 bath/shower rooms, dining kitchen and comfortable sitting room with lovely views (on a clear day!) to the Islands of Rhum and Canna and The Cuillin mountains to the south west.
The tranquil hamlet of Orbost will ensure you can chill out and relax to enjoy the easy pace of life on Skye. Dunvegan and the famous Castle are only 3.5 miles away providing basic shopping for essentials with Portree some 20 miles to the east for larger shopping. There is a safe sandy beach within a 10-15 minute walk from the house and the coastal scenery is spectacular providing opportunities to view local wildlife including sea eagles.
With 5 double bedrooms and 3 bath/shower rooms, a large lounge and dining kitchen, you will have plenty of space to relax and enjoy your break! Our rooms are furnished with quality classic furniture including some period items. We have 2 double rooms and 3 twin rooms providing comfortable accommodation that could cater for 2 families. The house is somewhat unusual in that four of the bedrooms and two of the bathrooms are on the ground floor. Located upstairs, the comfortable and spacious lounge provides commanding views over Loch Bracadale to The Cuillin and to Rhum & Canna. The kitchen is also upstairs and provides similar views to the lounge. The large bench table provides seating for 10 with everything within easy reach! The kitchen is fully equipped to ensure your dining needs are met!
In the centre of the ground floor is a spacious hall decorated with treasures brought back from the Pacific during the historic Challenger Expedition of 1872-78 by Captain Herbert Swire R.N.
