There is an open fireplace with wood burning stove to supplement the electric heeating.The Honeypot Cottage began life as a fisherman's cottage and lies on the shore close to the harbour in Avoch on the Black Isle. The property faces south with fine views of the Beauly Firth and the mountains. Immediately opposite the house there are two fisherman's sheds for the use of visitors, one has been converted into a comfortable viewing room with a sitting area at the sea wall and the other is available for storage of items such as bicycles, which can be hired and delivered from nearby Inverness.
Avoch is a pretty fishing village and has a post office, mini market, hardware shop, cash dispenser, inn and restaurant. The villages of Fortrose, Rosemarkie and Munlochy are also within easy reach and also have shops, a pharmacy and restaurants. Rosemarkie has a sandy beach and good swimming and Fortrose has an eighteen hole golf course. For those who enjoy the great outdoors, sea and river fishing can be arranged through local contacts and there are many walks to be found in the vicinity.
The cottage sleeps four people in one double and one twin bedroom. There is electric heating supplemented with a wood/coal burning stove, a cosy living room with TV and a fully equipped kitchen.
Pets are welcome by arrangement. Car parking is available adjacent to the house. All bedding and towels are provided.
