Newly Renovated S/C House Set Within 600 Acre Farm With Sea Views, Porthnahaven, Isle Of Islay

Easter Ellister Farmhouse is a newly renovated farmhouse offering self catering accomodation sleeing up to ten people on a 600 acre private estate with panoramic sea views. We are situated close to the village of Porthnaven where you will find a local pub which serves excellent food. For those whio choose to visit in the warmer months, Porthnaven Bay is only a few minutes away and is perfect for a brisk dip. The Easter Ellister Estate is abundant in wildlife and over 125 species have been recorded around the farmhouse alone.

You can do as little or as much as you like on Islay. There are seven Malt Whisky distilleries to visit, day trips to the islands of Jura or Colonsay, sea and Loch fishing, watersports, birdwatching, golf, shooting or stalking, and traditional craft shops to enjoy. The Island is also rich in archaeological history, and was once the headquarters of the Lords of the Isles. We have miles and miles of sandy beaches, many of which are suitable for swimming in the warmer summer months. If you'd rather take life at an easier pace, why not relax in one of the quiet pubs and sample your Malt from the comfort of an armchair by the fire.

Rooms Description

The large dining room accomodates up to ten diners and has a bar in the corner of the room wth a full selection of glasses, ice bucket and cocktail mixer. The fully fitted kitchen has everything the self catering visitor wuill need including a washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room has panoramic views over Loch Indaal and is equipped with TV DVD, VCR and satellite Sky TV for your enjoyment. A den next door is the perfect place for the kids to play. Upstairs is a master double bedrom with en-suite facilities, a twin bedroom and a bunk room.

Specialities

The house has been thoroughly serviced for your arrival and clean linen and towels are provided free of charge. For stays longer than a week a complimentary clean and linen change will be provided on each Saturday. The house is left open for your arrival and we provide a complimentary welcome pack.
