Ballivicar is a small family traditionally run farm with cows, sheep pigs and horses. The farm is about 15 minutes away from Port Ellen, the ferry port and the airport. The Pony Centre is able to tailor rides to the riders ability from young to experienced. The apartments are one and two bedroomed and are open planned. The kitchens are fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable.

The Isle of Islay offers a peaceful and relaxing holiday with miles of beautiful beaches. It also boasts some fine hand craft shops and potteries. Golfers are recommended to try the famous golf links at Machrie where all visitors are welcome. Whatever you feel like doing, whether it be horse riding or nothing at all this is the perfect location for your holiday break. Chougherie has two bedrooms, one double and one twin. Hayloft has one bedroom with twin beds. The Bothy has one bedroom with twin beds. Extra beds are available in the Clougherie and The Hayloft by arrangement. Pony Centre on site. Working farm. From Port Ellen take the road towards Bowmore and turn left immediately before Port Ellen Maltings. After a mile or so follow the road to Kintra (right), this is sign posted. After another mile you will find Ballivicar Farm on your right, again very well sign posted.
