Self Catering Chalets, Lodges And Farmhouse Located In a Rural Glen Near To Oban, Scottish Highlands

We offer family run self catering chalets, lodges and cottages tucked away in Larags Glen, just two and a half miles south off the seaside town of Oban. For families, our playpark and child friendly ducks and chickens are great for youngsters. For our regular winter divers The Barn (our country pub on site) is a huge attraction. For spring fishermen our hill loch’s challenging brown trout lead to many fishy tales over a pint. For walkers and pet owners we’ve endless waymarked forest trails over the hills and plenty of facilities to dry out afterwards!

Guests of Cologin can fish for brown trout for free on on Loch Gleann a'Bhearraidh. The loch is just under one mile's walk through the hills on one of our many waymarked trails. The boat on the loch can be booked just for fun and is freely available to guests. Pack a picnic and spend some time messsing about on the water. Should you wish to travel a little further afield then the seaside town of Oban lies within easy reach, as do the Isles of Mull and Iona. The barn lies at the heart of the site, offering quality meals and refreshing drinks to locals and guests alike.

Rooms Description

With 14 lodges, 4 chalets, Cruachan Cottage and Cologin Farmhouse we have plenty of different accommodation options to choose from including pet free, pet friendly and disabled access. Our accommodation is graded 3 and 4 star ('very good' and 'excellent') by Visit Scotland. Our chalets sleep between one and three people, lodges sleep between two and six people and Cologin Farmhouse sleeps between ten and fourteen people.
