Self Catering Chalet, Cottage & Static Caravan For Rent In a Hidden Glen, 4 Miles Inland Of Nairn
Laikenbuie Croft is magnificently located in a beautiful hidden glen just four miles inland from Nairn in the north of Scotland. We have a choice of self catering lodge, cottage, chalet and caravan for rent, all of them overlooking a loch surrounded by natural birch woods and bog meadows full of wild flowers. From here you can watch roe deer, red squirrels, or glimpse a wild cat, or fox. We have seen eighty species of bird, including osprey fishing for brown trout in the loch, buzzard, red kite, barn owl, long-tailed tit and a greater spotted woodpecker comes to the balconies.

We are half an hours drive from Inverness and Loch Ness and just ten minutes from the sandy beaches and dolphins of the Moray Firth. There are 14 golf courses within an hour's drive, several castles and the Speyside distilleries whisky trail. For something a little different, why not try our Tipi which is available for use on the summer months. Perfect for those wanting simple accomodation, or maybe children while Mum and Dad have a peaceful night in their holiday home.
Rooms Description
Our two lodges have been built to the same design and house a double bedroom, twin room and bunk room. Each is deigned to be accessible for wheelchair users. The chalet sleeps up to five in three bedrooms and is well equipped with all the self catering visitor will need. The caravan, like the chalet, has a view over the loch and has two bedrooms with additional sleeping in the lounge area.
Specialities
To the uninitiated WWOOF is a charity that links volunteers who want to learn and experience organic husbandry with host farms that need helpers. We have had some wonderful WWOOFers here and look forward to receiving more in times to come!

Directions
On the east side of Nairn (beside a railway bridge and Shell garage) the A939 branches south off the A96. We are exactly 3 miles from this junction, on the left, as you drive south towards Grantown-on-Spey. Our sign says LAIKENBUIE HOLIDAYS and is set back from the road on a bank. It is a little difficult to see in the dark due to problems with our visibility splay and the bends.
