The Banks of Orkney are a collection of three self catering cottages set in five acres of rural coastline, overlooking the Pentland Firth. The Island of South Ronaldsay is connected to mainland Orkney by causeways, known as the Churchill Barriers. Each of the cottages have been recently refurbished and is well equipped for your comfort and convenience during your stay on the magnificent Island of South Ronaldsay.
The Orkney Islands can be found off the Northern tip of Scotland and enjoy a temperate climate, warmed by the Gulf Stream. The Islands benefit from miles of sandy beaches and an abundance of native wildlife. There are a great variety of historical sites to visit, charting the development of the islands and their communities over many thousands of years. The nearby Tomb of the Eagles is a privately owned archaeological site with Bronze Age burial chambers and ancient sweat house. Come along and learn more about how the island's oldest communities lived.
