Three delightful cottages set around a landscaped courtyard, three star accredited, sleeping five

Our three self-catering holiday cottages are nestled amongst the delightful countryside of Dumfries and Galloway between Portpatrick and Stranraer. With easy access to a selection of beaches, golf courses, gardens and castles, this beautiful coast of South West Scotland is ideal for couples or families with children. The self catering accommodation is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a holiday in glorious surroundings of quiet countryside yet within easy reach of the busy town of Stranraer with its links to Ireland. Dumfries and Galloway offers so much to the holiday maker; once found, Dumfries and Galloway is never forgotten

We have secure off-road parking with Elm Cottage having a private car park for two vehicles. The gardens and courtyard are furnished with tables and chairs for guests to relax and enjoy the sunsets. A fully equipped BBQ set is available for hire to use within the grounds or to take out. For children there is a secure playing field adjacent to the self catering cottages which is equipped with a rustic playcentre and a selection of outdoor games including badminton, cricket, football, boules etc. plus picnic tables and chairs

Rooms Description

Old Stables is the smallest of the three properties having a double / twin and a single bedroom. A fourth person can be accommodated on a guest bed within the single room. This warm and cosy cottage has bright, airy rooms and a comfortable homely atmosphere. It overlooks country lanes and fields and takes advantage of the beautiful sunsets. The lounge has a colour TV with Sky, a VCR, radio and a selection of videos, books and games. Tourist information is supplied to help plan your days and evenings, including a selection of our personal recommendations and circular walks, drives and cycle routes. The open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area have seating and catering facilities for four people and the kitchen is equipped with a hob and an easy to use combination oven / microwave. Facing West the front windows allow the cottage to take full advantage of the beautiful sunsets. At the rear is a small porch / sunroom which overlooks the landscaped courtyard and is ideal for storing outdoor clothing and equipment. Elm & Ash Cottages These two traditional semi-detached cottages enjoy views across the landscaped courtyard to the open countryside beyond. All the rooms are on one level and the interiors are bright and warm and relaxing with the beamed ceilings creating a country style atmosphere. The lounges have colour TV's with Sky, video recorders, radios and a selection of videos, books, magazines and games. Being the larger of the cottages Ash and Elm offer two twin-bedded rooms with walk in wardrobes. Guests have the option of a king-sized double in the larger room. A fifth person can be accommodated on a guest bed in the lounge area. Highchairs and cots are available free of charge. All bed linen (single or king-sized) and towels are supplied free of charge. (Please note that we do not supply cot bedding or baby baths.) Each of the cottages has an open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area with extending table and seating for five. The kitchens are equipped with modern cookers, microwaves and many new accessories and utensils - everything you could possibly require whilst enjoying your 'home from home'.
