Two Self Catering Cottages On a Working Farm Close To Kelso In The Beautiful Scottish Borders
Lochton farm cottages are two self catering properties sleeping two to four people just four miles from picturesque Kelso in the beautiful Scottish Borders. This is a family run working farm with mostly arable land but some sheep. We are situated beside the River Tweed and visitors are welcome to trout and salmon fish by the half mile stretch of river by prior arrangement.
Lochton is situated midway between Kelso and Coldstream, in the heart of the Scottish Borders. (just over an hour’s drive south of Edinburgh and one and a half hour’s drive north of Newcastle, and about one and a half hours drive from the M6 at Carlisle). The hedges and woods of the surrounding farmland encourage a wide variety of wildlife. Feel free to wander about the farm tracks where you will often see deer, hares, pheasants and perhaps some birds that are not on our RSPB bird counter list.
Rooms Description
Cherry Tree Cottage is ideal for two people and furnished throughout in old pine. The delightful living room has comfy sofas along with a TV, video, CD player, books and local information. The bedroom has a double and single bed. Rowan Tree Cottage is perfect for families or two couples and has a spacious lounge with comfy sofas, books, TV, video and CD player. There are three bedrooms-one double, one single and one twin. Inside, there is central heating and log fires – the fires are set ready to go, instructions and logs supplied, linen and towels are supplied. Kitchens are fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher..Summer or winter, relax in comfort!
