5 Star Self Catering Holiday Accommodation In The Scottish Borders Countryside For Two People.

The Bothy at Orchard Wells is a fully modernised, 19th century rural retreat offering elegant yet cosy self catering holiday accommodation for two people in the heart of the Scottish Borders countryside. Offering superb views up the glen, the cottage is the perfect base for your holiday to the area with superb walking tracks, fishing rivers and golfing facilities closeby. Ideally located nine miles from the picturesque village of Peebles and one and a half miles from Traquair, the oldest inhabited house in Scotland, there are also many summer festivals to enjoy and local restaurants to visit.

The cottage has been sympathetically restored with period features including the original stone fireplace in the lounge remaining. The modern fitted kitchen has all the applicances required for a relaxing holiday and the bathroom has a full size bath with power shower. The Bothy has the benefit of full central heating and there is also a wood burner stove in the lounge. For those rainy days, there is a television with freeview, video player, DVD player and HiFi with tapes, CD's and DVD's available.

Rooms Description

The Bothy has one double bedroom which can be arranged to have a king size bed or twin beds. Smoking is not permitted at the property and we do not accept pets.

We have been rated 5 stars by the Scottish Tourism Council and offer the perfect rural retreat in a peaceful and secluded location. The Bothy is fully equipped with all bed-linen, towels, bathrobes and slippers, as well as crockery and cutlery.
