High Smithstone B&B is a traditional farmhouse in Ayrshire, Scotland. High Smithstone is a working farm with 360 acres and we have some highland cattle, 200 beef cattle, 400-500 sheep. Visit Culzean Castle or the Burns National Heritage Park in Alloway. Extensive leisure facilities are available at Magnum Centre Irvine. Muirshiel Country Park at Lochwinnoch and the RSPB Centre is great for bird lovers. Kelburn Country Centre at Largs is a haven for children with pony rides, adventure playground, secret grotto and falconry displays. Riding and hacking are available locally.

Ailsa View Cottage is a new conversion which sleeps 6/7 people. From June to August inclusive the minimum let is one week. The cottage has a new fully fitted open-plan kitchen. The lounge has a 3-piece suite, colour TV, Video and CD player. There are 3 bedrooms.The downstairs bedroom is suitable for a wheelchair user and the adjoining shower room and toilet is fully equipped for disabled. Travel cot and highchair are available on request. Enclosed garden with patio table and chairs and gas BBQ. Electricity and heating included in price. Towels and linen provided.

A classic Scottish breakfast is served between 6-10am, cooked from local produce and enhanced by home baking and home made marmalades.

We can offer our guests DIY livery facilities that can accommodate up to 4 horses and you can hack around our country lanes. We can help organise weekend or 3-4 day golfing trips by booking your tee off times and arranging transfers to and from the airport.
