The cottages superb location on the shores of Loch Sween makes this the perfect place to relax and take in the beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife of this magnificent area of Scotland. Two kinds of deer live in the woods by the cottages and you may even spot a badger. Otters can also be seen by the shores of the loch if you are extremely lucky.
There are a host of activities on offer in the surrounding area. Walking, cycling, pony trekking and fishing are just some of the things available and there are a variety of good restaurants in the vicinity. Nearby Lochgilphead has a range of shops, banks, petrol, an indoor swimming pool, golf course and other amenities. The nearby Loch provides opportunities for boating and canoeing, should you have your own craft.
Each cottage has two bedrooms, one double and one twin bedded. There is a fully fitted modern kitchen equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The spacious living room has colour TV and DVD player for your entertainment.
Children are welcome. The cottages are supplied with natural spring water and there is easy access for the infirm. Tenants may bring two dogs at a charge of £20 each per week

Approach LOCHGILPHEAD on the A83 from Glasgow. Go straight through Lochgilphead, following the loch side, leaving the town on your right. Turn RIGHT onto the A816, signposted OBAN. After two miles, take the B841 (left fork), and turn left over the canal bridge at the Cairnbaan Hotel. Follow the signposts to ACHNAMARA, i.e. take the left fork at two successive V junctions. Go straight through Achnamara. Creag a Mhadaidh Cottage (pronounced Craig Maddy) is only five miles further and there will be someone there to welcome you.
