Ben Wyvis views is located just 12 miles from Inverness it is an ideal base for touring the highlands and the islands. Culbokie is a small village located on the north side of the Black Isle. There is one school, Culbokie Primary School (secondary pupils go to Fortrose Academy), a shop/post office, Culbokie Inn and Findon Hall. Culbokie has a thriving range of community and youth groups, including Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section Beavers, Cubs, Badminton, Playgroup and the Senior Citizens Friendship club.

There are plenty of Golf Courses around the area for those keen golfers. There is also a saling club, a riding centre and also a bit of Wildlife spotting.
