Located at the entrance of Loch Etive, just a ten minute drive from Oban centre, the property enjoys stunning views over the Falls of Lora. This welcoming guest house is the ideal base from which to enjoy a relaxing break in Oban, Argyll and the islands. Set yourself up for the day with a delicious breakfast served in our light dining room. We offer an extensive menu and source local produce. We also offer the option of an evening meal and you are welcome to bring your own wine or beer.

We are just a 45 minute drive from Glencoe, Fort William, Nevis and Crinan. If you are an outdoors enthusiast then look no further. We have Kayaking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, fishing and diving right on our doorstep. For those who enjoy a round of golf, we are located close to a great course. For the landscape photographer, we have everything. Mountains, rivers and waterfalls, woodland and stunning sky-scapes. There are a number of boat trips on offer including whale watching trips.

Rooms Description

We have 4 rooms on offer. Lorn is on the ground floor, with a king sized bed and enjoying a stunning sea view and ensuite shower/bathroom. This bedroom has the added advantage if its own cosy sitting room. Movern is a standard double room with ensuite shower room and upstairs we have 2 single rooms sharing a shower room. All bedrooms have a TV with DVD or Video player. Relax in the guest lounge which has a wood burning stove, piano, TV, DVD and CD player.

Specialities

We believe that Strumhor is the only B&B in the UK that offers sea kayak trips, coaching and rental. Strumhor is the perfect base for sea kayakers.
