Jenny and Stuart Anderson offer a warm welcome to all at Rhian Guest House, hidden away in the wild Sutherland landscape. The acommodation originally began life as a gamekeeper's cottage and is set in 20 acres of private grounds where peace and tranquility are assured. Tongue is in the heart of Mackay country and is situated on the north coast of the Scottish Highlands and is host to a wide variety of wildlife, including buzzards, pheasants, curlews, owls, goldcrests, cuckoos, pine martens, deer and otters.

The comfortable loung area provides the perfect place to relax with a book and a cup of coffee and enjoy the views. Here you will find books, DVDs and videos for your entertainment The new centrally heated conservatory is great for watching the birds, reading or watching the Northern Lights and shooting stars at night. We offer traditional breakfast menus and are happy to cater for special dietary requirements with prior warning!

Rooms Description

We offer a choice of double, twin and family rooms all with marvellous views. Tea and coffee making facilities are at hand. More private rooms are available in the lodge, converted from two small converted outbuildings quite separate to the main house. They are also equipped with hospitality trays, hairdryers, alarm clock radios, extra blankets and guest information folders. As we have a TV lounge, we don't have TV in the bedrooms.

Specialities

We offer a flask filling service, iron and ironing board, laundry services and secure storage for sports equipment. Packed lunches are available on request.
