We are a charming 18th century country home with spacious, tastefully furnished rooms and comforting log fires offering exceptional hospitality and food in the perfect location for exploring this beautiful area. The Scottish borders are the ideal location for an angling holiday being home to the River Tweed and it's abundant stocks of salmon and sea trout. There is also some wonderful walks in the area and the cliffs and beaches of Dunbar and Berwick-upon-Tweed are a birdwatcher's paradise. There are also many splendid golf courses within easy reach of Nisbet House.
At Nisbet House, we pride ourselves on providing an excellent standard of accommodation and hospitality with an choice of breakfast made from homemade and local, organic produce. All our rooms are elegantly presented and include our spacious sitting room with period fireplace and comfortable dining room, both in keeping with the charming country ambiance of the property.
Two ensuite rooms are available at the bed & breakfast, one double and one twin. Luxuriously furnished with sheets and towels made of top quality cotton and linen, home made scones and biscuits, hand made bath oils and soaps and fresh flowers.
The bed & breakfast has been awarded four stars by the Scottish Tourism Council and has an interesting history as the former holiday home of the famous doll maker, Peggy Nisbet.
