More specifically, The Clachan is located in the Royal Burgh of Wick, just minutes from the town centre, once named the busiest herring fishing port in Europe. All rooms are decorated to a high standard, have en-suite facilities and are all on the ground floor. Guests can look forward to a tasty breakfast served at individual tables in a spacious and pleasant dining room. Breakfast includes a selection of cereals, fruit, porridge, local produce, free range eggs and homemade black pudding (optional).
The Clachan is ideally located for visiting places of interest such as Castle of Mey which was the home to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, newly open to the public. Guests can also take advantage of the day trips to the Orkney Islands where you can have a tour of the islands or take part in a white water adventure. A little closer to home, guests can enjoy a round of golf with stunning views of Sinclairs Bay. Fishing, horse riding and quad biking is also available.
Guests can choose from a twin bed room or a double. All rooms have a colour television and are en-suite with shower, hand basin and W/C. The rooms have central heating and have individual temperature controls for added comfort. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits are provided in every room.
There are plenty of nearby hotels and pubs that offer evening meals ranging from À la carte to bar snacks. Take aways can also be eaten in the dining room at The Clachan. The Clachan is completely no smoking and pets are not allowed.
