The cottages are just five miles from Dumfries and the wonderful Solway coast. The farm consists of 36 acres of organic grass fields, wetlands, trees and gardens and we work with a wider view of the environment.
There is much to see and do in this wonderful part of south west Scotland. Nearby there are thick forests, heathery hills, sandy beaches, cliffs with secre caves and lots of country walks and cycle routes, including the famous 7 Stanes mountain biking route in Dalbeattie forest. Here there truly is something for everyone, whether you are looking for a relaxing country break or are an outdoor sports enthusiast.
Stable Cottage is a beautifully converted stable with a balcony double bedroom perched over the living and kitchen areas, accommodating two. In the lounge there is a colour TV, wood stove and central heating for your entertainment and comfort. Outside there is a beautiful organic garden where organic fruit and vegetables are available in season. Bothy Cottage sleeps three people(double + single) and is available on a self catering or bed and breakfast basis. It is a suite of ground floor rooms and has a well equipped kitchen with dining table and chairs.
Both cottages are available on a bed and breakfast basis, please enquire. Evening meals and light lunches may also be available by prior arrangement. Pet dogs are welcome, by arrangement.
