Beautiful Dumfries cottage offering the perfect peaceful self catering holiday, set in 36 acres of fields & gardens. Two cottages, sleeps 2 - 3.

The farm enjoys a beautiful rural location on the edge of the Galloway hills with two charming self catering cottages within a courtyard setting. The courtyard also has a large glasshouse which has recently been refurbished as a relaxing space for our guests to enjoy during their stay regardless of the weather. Situated just five miles from Dumfries and the wonderful Solway coast. The farm land consists of 36 acres of organic grass fields, wetland and and a small area of woodland. Around the farm there is an abundance of wildlife and birdsand we keep free range hens, geese, rheas and pedigree cattle & sheep graze the fields in summer. We also foster a donkey and a mule from the Donkey Sanctuary.

There is much to see and do in this wonderful part of south west Scotland. Nearby there are thick forests, heathery hills, sandy beaches, cliffs with secre caves and lots of country walks and cycle routes, including the famous 7 Stanes mountain biking route in Dalbeattie forest. Stable Cottage is a beautifully converted stable with a balcony double bedroom perched over the living and kitchen areas, ideal for couples the cosy lounge has a colour TV, wood burning stove and central heating for your entertainment and comfort. Bothy Cottage is open plan and can sleep 2/3 adults or two small children if required. It is available on a self catering or bed and breakfast basis and is a suite of ground floor rooms that has comfortable lounge and a well equipped kitchen with dining table and chairs.The spacious lounge has colour TV, wood burning stove and central heating for your entertainment and comfort.

We specialize in guests who enjoy a relaxing holiday and we always try and make a stay at Netherfield as welcoming as possible have many guests who stay with us regularly enjoy the experience. We can provide breakfast in both cottages if required, please enquire. Pet dogs are welcome, by arrangement.
