Ideally located on the Perthshire/ Inverness-shire border, Balsporran is located in the wild Drumochter Pass in the Cairgorm National Park within 30 minutes of many of the area's natural and historic attractions including Blair House, one of the most visited historic houses in Scotland.
The generously sized rooms at the Balsporran Cottages beautifully decorated with quality furnishings and warm, fluffy duvets. The luxurious and spacious guest lounge has a real log fire and there is also a drying room available for wet coats and boots. Optional evening meals are available which are made from local organic produce with home baked bread & preserves. A traditional Scottish breakfast is served at a time to suit you with Scottish smoked salmon, cheese and Croissants available. Well behaved dogs are welcome at the bed & breakfast.
The accommodation at Balsporran Cottages comprises of one king sized room, one twin or double room and two single rooms. Dressing gowns, tourist information and of course spectacular mountain views are available in the rooms as well as hospitality trays, toiletries and hairdryers.
Home cooked meals are a speciality at the bed & breakfast and vegetarians are happily catered for. Packed lunches and picnics are also available for your day trips. We are 200 yards from the Sustran Cycle Route (no 7), perfectly placed for cyclists. We are situated off the A9 , four miles south of Dalwhinnie. We are between lay-bys 84 & 85. We share the same postcode as Dalwhinnie village, so if you use your sat nav that's where you'll end up!
