The village's central location makes this the ideal base for touring the region and the urban centres of Aberdeen and Dundee are less than one hour's drive away. The hotel has a fully licensed bar with a good selection of quality wines, spirits and beers, guests breakfasting and dining room, restaurant and beer garden.
We are ideally situated for those wishing to shoot or fish within the Montrose and Mearns areas with the river North Esk, one of the top salmon rivers in Scotland, close to the village. The hotel is also conveniently located for hillwalking in the Angus Glens and there are a range of golf courses within a fifteen mile radius of the village. The famous Coast to Coast walk passes close to Marykirk, making this the ideal spot to rest those weary feet!
