A 220 year old hotel occupying an elevated position overlooking the Aberdeenshire Don Valley in the rolling foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains. The hotel originally began life as a coaching inn and now offers modern and comfortable guest accommodation in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The hotel is fast becoming popular as a venue for weddings and other gatherings and we can cater for functions of up to one hundred and fifty people.

MAK's restaurant can be found at the hotel, where the head chef produces both traditional meals cooked from local and continental sources, now recognised by the EAT Scotland food award. Over thirty malt whiskies can be enjoyed in the bar area, along with a range of local and more well known beers. The hotel has been recently awarded the prestigious Green Tourism Award, we are surrounded by a varied selection of wildlife. This is definitely the place if you are looking for peace and tranquility close to many of the area's attractions. The hotel has recently been awarded the Best Bar None Award (Gold Award)which will be presented by the Lord Provost in Feb 2009 in Aberdeen
