The Kildonan Lodge Hotel was built in 1874 by a wealthy Edinburgh businessman and is an outstanding example of Victorian elegance. The hotel has been lovingly restored to capture the atmosphere of a bygone era and provides the perfect setting for a visit to the capital of Scotland.
The hotel is ideally situated just one and a half miles from the city centre and the bus service is regular. To see Edinburgh at its best it is advisable to leave the car in our large private car park. Before heading out for a day around the city enjoy a delicious and wholesome full Scottish breakfast in our spacious and elegant dining room. Similarly, dinner is available here at Mathew's Restaurant. Mathew is an award winning chef and brings with him over 26 years experience at top class restaurants around the world.

Directions
To reach the Kildonan Lodge Hotel. Follow signs for City By-pass South, continue on by-pass and exit at "Straiton Junction" (A701 City Centre) follow the signs for city centre for 2.5 miles through various sets of traffic lights. You will come to a large junction with three lanes, take middle lane, the Hotel is the sixth building on the right hand side.
