This privately run Scottish Tourist Board rated three star hotel is situated in the heart of Moffat, Dumfries and Galloway. The hotel is now well renowned for its excellent food and the facilities are of a standard you would expect from a modern hotel. The open fire places in the public rooms offer guests a warm and cosy atmosphere, even during the coldest of Scottish winters. The bar has a growing collection of 63 malt whiskys and an impressive wine list. Our comfortable lounge area boasts a gorgeous Georgian fireplace and provides a lovely place to relax with a cup of coffee or bowl of soup during the cold winter months.

Our restaurant employs a buying policy which is strictly adhered to thus ensuring that our meals are of the very best quality, all of the time. The town of Moffat itself nestles in a picturesque valley surrounded by the rolling Moffat hills and is well placed just two miles from the M74, the primary route between England and Scotland. Moffat is becoming a hub for outdoor pursuits such as walking, biking, fishing, shooting, and cycling, the quaint town being a hive of activity, attracting visitors from far and wide irrespective of seasons.

Specialities

Come stay with us for the Buccleuch Experience while your horses enjoy the pleasures of Craigbeck Farm, 80-acres of prime scenic land. Four large stables are available with plenty of good quality grazing paddocks.
