An eighteen bedroom, nineteenth Century Elgin hotel with lounge bar and restaurant, situated in the heart of Speyside with good fishing available locally.

The Royal Hotel is the former residence of a whisky baron and dates back to the middle of the nineteenth century. This eighteen bedroom hotel has a lounge bar, restaurant and terraced area to the front. The Rendezvous Restaurant is open every evening and on Sundays for a traditional three course Sunday lunch. We aim to provide only the freshest ingredients from the North East's larder. The Lounge Bar has an unusual beamed ceiling and provides the perfect place to realx with a drink or enjoy a delicious bar meal at the end of the day.

The Reception at The Royal Hotel can assist you when it comes to a great day out, reduced green fees have been negotiated at most local golf courses and there is a huge selection of excellent courses, many of them championship courses within minute's drive from the hotel. Fishing in this part of Scotland (Grampian/Speyside) includes the world famous River Spey as well as the rivers Findhorn, Isla, Lossie and Deveron. We have ten letting bedrooms in the main building, made up of six family rooms and four twin bedrooms. The newly built annex has a further eight bedrooms made up of four doubles and four twins. The hotel can also cater for functions for up to thirty people and is ideal for interviews, meetings, training courses etc.
