The Overscraig House Hotel enjoys a magnificent south facing location beside Loch Shin in North West Sutherland. The area is one of the last great wilderness areas of Europe and has a wide range of outdoor pursuits on offer, from golf and sailing to hill walking and climbing as well as fishing and shooting. Following a day spent exploring the local scenery take a dram in the bar by the fire or simply relax in the lounge and plan the next day's adventures.
Soak up the fabulous views from our peaceful dining room whilst sampling the best of Highland produce. Wherever possible we buy local produce to ensure that our food is of the highest quality and has the freshest ingredients. Why not sample one our fine Scottish malt whiskies at the bar before retiring to the parlour where you will find a wood burning stove for those cooler evenings.

Specialities
Bank fishing on local loch, hill loch and river fishing is free to residents. The hotel has boats on Loch Shin, Merkland and a'Ghriama. Packed lunches can be supplied.
