The village sits at the head of Loch Cuin between Tobermory and Calgary Bay and was founded in the late 18th Century. The inn itself is renowned for its quality home cooked food and many local seafood specialities.
Facilities at the Bellachroy include a residents lounge, characterful public and lounge bars, regular music and quiz nights and information on local walks, trips and tours is available. On arriving at Craignure, turn RIGHT from the ferry towards Tobermory on A849. After about 20 mins you will pass through the village of SALEN. The road now becomes single track, keep going straight on until you see a left turn and signs for DERVAIG. Follow this road for about 11 miles through the glen road until you reach a T-junction by a stone bridge. Turn right and go up the hill, you will see the Bellachroy ahead of you on your left. Follow the road round the back of the Inn to the car park. 23 miles - Journey time approx 45 mins.
