Coll Hotel - Isle of Coll

Welcoming 3 star hotel with delightful rooms most with stunning views across the bay, Isle of Coll

Picture that turquoise and deep blue sea, lapping white sandy beaches that you associate with the Caribbean. Remove the people and the palm trees. This is Coll. Unspoilt and remote, teeming with rare seabirds and wildlife, Coll is the ultimate venue to relax and just....... be.

The Coll Hotel sits in its own grounds, with a beautiful garden overlooking the row of white-washed cottages at the harbour side. The garden has been redesigned with the addition of a deck with more seating, an ideal spot for summer lunches and has recently had a midge-removing machine installed to make the experience even more enjoyable!

Rooms Description

The hotel has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and is appointed to a high standard, with six en-suite rooms, four of which look down the bay across to the Treshnish Isles, Staffa, Iona and Jura.

Specialities

The mainland point of departure for the Isle of Coll is Oban, which can be reached by road and rail. In summer the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry sails once every day In winter, sailings are on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only. These modern roll-on-roll-off car and passenger ferries have self-service restaurants and licensed bars. The journey time is about three hours and makes a fine start to your island holiday, as all your mainland worries seem to slip into the Sound of Mull. There is also a small airport on the neighbouring island of Tiree, and regular flights from Glasgow fly there. Taxis and boats from Tiree airport to Coll can be arranged through the hotel. If you fly, you can use Airmiles - it is 700 for a London-Glasgow return trip and 1150 for a London-Tiree return flight. There are also regular train and bus services from Glasgow to Oban. Feel free to call us for more details. All guests are collected from the pier on arrival, if requested, and transport around the island can also be arranged.
