The history of this inn goes back over 400 years and the Stables, being the oldest part of the building, today houses the bar which is reputedly haunted by the Grey Lady. The area between St Andrews and Lundin Links was plagued by a highwayman known as Wee Mad MacGregor, a colourful figure who was said to have drank at the inn following his exploits.
Nowadays the inn is known for its award winning food and modern accommodation. Local produce features heavily o the menu and our membership to the Scottish Beef Club ensures that we are able to purchase only the very best beef. Four of Scotland's oldest and most spectacular courses, Balcomie Crail, Craighead, Lundin Links and Ladybank, are all within easy reach of the inn and golf packages are available. Following a round of golf, relax with a drink in the 19th Hole, with its log fires and friendly atmosphere.
