The Loch Melfort Hotel enjoys one of the finest locations on the West Coast of Scotland and is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday or short break at any time of year. There are few places in Scotland that can compare for breathtaking scenery and outdoor activities. Local places of interest include Mull and the island of Iona, Glencoe, Cruachan, Kilchoan Castle, Castle Stalker, Dunstaffnage Castle (Home of Clan Campbell). The Scottish Sea-Life and Marine sanctuary and the Landmark Forest Heritage Park are both nearby.
Our restaurant has been awarded two AA rosettes for it's cuisine and uses only the finest local produce in the menu. Here guests can start the day with a full Scottish breakfast with superb black pudding from Skye, local kippers, smoked haddock and free range eggs. At dinner, why not sample our oydters, kept by us in the sea in the front of the hotel. Should you be visiting on business, our new Conference Suite is charmingly set amidst a cluster of old cottages and affords perfect peace away from the bustle of the hotel to conduct your meetings or seminars.

Directions
We are just over 2 1/2 hours from Glasgow. For a direct route, follow the M8 West to junction 30, then north on the A82 towards Tarbet. At Tarbet take the A83 and follow the signs for Inveraray and Lochgilphead. At Lochgilphead, take the Oban road (A816). The hotel is at Arduaine, 18 miles to the North and is clearly signposted. From Edinburgh, head North-West to Stirling on the M9 to junction 10. Continue on the A84 to Tyndrum and Oban on the A85. In Oban take the A816. The Loch Melfort Hotel is 19 miles south of Oban on the A816.
