A Traditional Whitewashed Stone Building Offering Self Catering Accommodation, Newton Stewart
Stable Cottage is a 150 year old whitewashed stone building that was originally used as the stables for the Cairnsmore Estate. The cottage's fabulous location just one mile from Kirroughtree Visitors Centre, which is the gateway to Galloway Forest Park and is close to the 7 Stanes mountain bike track, makes this the ideal base for exploring the local area.
The cottage has a storage area for boots and coats and the cosy kitchen diner is fully equipped with cooker, washing machine, microwave oven, fridge etc. Here guests will also find a traditional pulley on which to warm and dry your clothes. The bright lounge area houses a TV, CD player, games and books and is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploration.
Rooms Description
There are two bedrooms in Stable Cottage – the master bedroom overlooks the back garden where elusive red squirrels can often be spotted. An extremely comfortable double Sleigh bed with matching furniture adds to the feeling of tranquillity and peacefulness that Stable Cottage can offer you. The second bedroom has two comfortable, single beds and also overlooks the back garden area.
