Craigwell Cottage is ideally situated near the Royal Mile, The Palace of Holyroodhouse, Scottish Parliament, Dynamic Earth and Holyrood Park. Perfect for holidays, short breaks and vacation rentals in Scotland's Capital City. Within easy walking distance of many Festival Venues, Edinburgh's main railway - Waverley - Station and the City Centre shops, restaurants, theatres and cafes. Very close to direct bus route - Lothian 35 - means cheap travel from Airport. Top of Calton Road leads you to the OMNI Centre and Playhouse.

Craigwell Cottage has double and twin bedrooms, afamily bathroom and an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, with French windows on to balconies at the front and side of the property. Craigwell Cottage is equipped to sleep up to four adults and we can provide a travel cot free of charge. It should be noted however that as the bedrooms are small we recommend that a maximum of 4 (including infant or child) be accommodated. Bedding and towels (one bath towel and one hand towel per guest) are supplied. Guests usually prefer to bring their own bedding for the cot. There is access to a shared garden behind the townhouses on the opposite side of the courtyard. Free WiFi, free parking. For a small charge, we can do a grocery shop, ready for your arrival.

  • Available all year round, 3 night minimum except July/August : 1 week minimum and Festive Season : 5 night minimum. 2-night weekends at Last Minute.
  • Edinburgh very busy in Festival times - so come in September or October to avoid the crowds, or May and June when the nights are long!
  • No pets and no smoking help to maintain a clean and fresh cottage. Don't offer 1-nt bookings. 2-nights at last minute (14 days before) at £250.

Directions

Craigwell Cottage is easily accessible, but can be a little difficult to locate first time because of the number of different routes on offer. We'd recommend following signs into the city centre from whichever direction you're coming, then heading towards Holyrood/Dynamic Earth. Calton Road is where you'll find the cottage - EH8 8DR in Google Maps. At one end of Calton Road is Abbeyhill - turn right just after you've gone under the railway bridge, and before the mini-roundabout outside the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Scottish Parliament. At the other end of Calton Road is Leith Street. There's a small slip road into Calton Road, just past the entrance to Greenside Place parking and opposite the Thistle Hotel.
