Two superbly equipped A framed lodges a few minutes walk from one of Scotland's most magnificent sandy beaches. The lodges are set back from the coast in a well kept private development with lovely views over wooded fells and a small loch. Thistle Lodges have the benefit of a variety of on site leisure activities. This includes free use of an indoor heated swimming pool with sauna, together with free access to a children’s playground and boules courts. Adjacent to the lodges is a riding stable, from where rides out of all different standards (weeny rides upwards) can be arranged. As part of the swimming pool buildings you will also find a small bar area, restaurant and courtyard for summer music entertainment.

Rooms Description

The lodges may be spacious but can also provide a cosy retreat for two. They are perfect for family holidays with two double bedrooms and four single beds in a third bedroom. The two lodges are adjacent and are therefore also ideal for larger family groups. A discount is applied for couples and for those booking both lodges together.

Directions

When coming from the south, they are just an hour's drive beyond Carlisle, through Dumfries and then the A710 Solway coast road. When you arrive at Sandyhills Bay follow the sign up the road opposite the beach to Barend Holiday Village, and head for Reception. You will be welcomed and given the keys and directions to your lodge.
