Why not spend a day at the Nick Nairn cookery school and refine those culinary skills?Lochend Chalets are a collection of waterside cabins, lodges and chalets on the edge of Scotland's only lake, the Lake of Menteith. They offer a high standard of accommodation in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Our waterside location makes for breathtaking views, allowing visitors to take in the magnificent scenery from the living room window.
Around Lochend there is much to see and do, we have a games room with table tennis, table football and a pool table. We have a rowing boat for hire and you are welcome tto bring your own canoe, windsurfer or small sailing dinghy, by prior arrangement. The lake is one of Scotland's premier rainbow trout fisheries and fishing is by fly only, boats can be booked on arrival. There is a tennis court for which we can provide rackets and we have four adult mountain bikes for hire, should you wish to explore the wider area.
Our Cedar Cabins are situated in a crescent overlooking the lake and each has patio doors leading out onto a paved patio with outdoor furniture. There is a double and a twin room. The A frame chalets are about 15 metres back from the lake and gaze out over the water towards Ben Lomond. Each has three bedrooms and can sleep up to six people. The A apartments are a block of three, with soundproofed walls, and sit 15 metres from the lake. They sleep up to six people in a double and twin bedroom and on a double futon. Pine Lodge sits alone at the end of the crescent and sleeps four in a double and twin room. The Coach House is our largest property and is ideal for large families or groups of friends, having four en-suite bedrooms. All accommodation is superbly equipped with everything the self catering visitor wll need to make their stay more comfortable.
