Kippford is the perfect location for a holiday or short break and is well placed for walking, cycling, golf, forest,water sports, beaches, days out and there are 2 pubs serving food only 10 mins walk away. Or if relaxing is more to your liking, Birchlea Lodge is ideal for watching the world and the wildlife go by.

Kippford is a quaint seaside village overlooking the Urr estuary on the Solway Firth. Kippford is on a 'no through road' backed by forest and trails, with coastal paths and shell beaches overlooking the islands in the bay. It has an active yacht club and the area is perfect for loch, river and sea fishing. Or even just crab fishing from the Wee Pier! With sandy beaches also nearby & plenty of places for fun days out it is perfect for family holidays and the 7stanes Mountain Bike Trailhead is very close. If gentle cycling or walking is more your thing, there is plenty of choice, including forest trails easily accessible from the lodge, the National Trust lands' 1-mile walk across the Jubilee path from Kippford to Rockcliffe, or the bird sanctuary on Rough Island at low tide. The lodge is cosy and warm in winter and is perfectly designed for summer living. The large living kitchen is equipped with microwave, dishwasher and dining table whilst the lounge has comfortable two and three seater sofas and Sky TV, HDMI DVD, radio and CD for your entertainment. There are 3 bedrooms, comprising 1 king-sized double, ensuite showerroom, and 2 twin-bedded rooms with family bathroom; there are also covered decks with furniture on the exterior.
