Magnet Cottage sits in the village of Kippford amidst the beautiful Galloway countryside. We enjoy an enviable position overlooking the Urr Estuary and Solway Firth. The village boasts miles of forest and cliffside walks and the cottage itself is just a few minutes away from the famous Seven Stanes cycle way. Fishing, sailing and golf are also popular past times here. Following a day spent in the great outdoors, retire to the local pub and relax with a drink or enjoy a hearty bar meal, just 80 steps away!

There is much to see and do in the local area and nearby Loch Ken offers sailing, watersports and good course fishing. The thriving market town of Castle Douglas is just a ten minute drive away and is renowned as a food town, with a variety of specialist shops selling local produce. This area of the Solway Coast has some beautiful beaches, Sandyhills being one of them and children are sure to love it here.
