Two 4 Star Awarded Self Catering Cottages In With Views Over The Ochils & Trossachs, Bonnybridge

The Antonine Wall Cottages are situated in 5 acres of private gardens and woodlands and sleep 4/6 each or 8/12 when rented together. They are conveniently located within walking distance of two great feats of engineering. The first is the Falkirk Wheel, the world's only rotating boat lift, whilst the second is the Antonine Wall, the most northerly frontier built by the Romans almost 2000 years ago. There are excellent facilites for children within the cottage grounds including a giant trampoline, play-house, swings, slide, climbing ropes and sandpits, all overlooked by picnic benches.

There is a luxury spa area available at the cottages with an 8 seater hot spring spa. Our 20 foot exercise pool is constantly heated throughout the summer and winter and has a powerful counter current that you can swim against. The pool is fitted with underwater lights meaning that it can be used at any time of day or night. Here guests will also find an outdoor decked area complete with loungers, tables, chairs, music, fairy lights and candles. Our 1820's greenhouse has been converted into a party room with kitchen and large seating area. The hot tub, sauna, pool, decked area and garden room can be booked by our guests and offers a wonderful place to hold family reunions or special parties.

Rooms Description

Both cottages are comfortably furnished and have been converted from an 1840s stable block. There are two double bedrooms in Hayloft whilst Doocot has a double and triple bedroom with three single beds. Doocot is the slightly bigger of the two and is ideal for families with children as it overlooks the play area and woods. Each cottage has a well equipped kitchen and large lounges with colour TV, DVD player, video player, Sky TV and WiFi access for enabled laptops.

Specialities

The cottages are suitable for disabled visitors and have been built with the needs of the wheelchair user in mind. Parking is available outside the entrance door and there are no internal or external steps to negotiate. Bathrooms and doors have been specially adapted to allow wheelchair access. Breakfast and dinner packs are available.
