The Tower House is a listed building providing self catering accommodaion in a small hamlet close to the village of Dunscore. The village has a post office and local pub and is ideally placed for exploring the surrounding countryside and walking in Scotland's Southern Uplands. If mountain biking is your thing, then The Tower House is well placed for 3 of the 7 Stanes mountain bike centres.

There are a huge number of outdoor activities available within easy reach of the accommodation including golf, fishing, walking or cycling. We are just nine miles from the town of Dumfries where you will find a wide range of amenities including a swimming pool and museums. If you have children, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the number of places to visit nearby. Some of the places we've enjoyed as a family include Mabie Farm Park and Cream o' Galloway - fun for children and parents alike! Drumlanrig Castle is also a must.

Rooms Description

The cottage sleeps four people in one double and one twin bedroom. The lounge area is well equipped with colour TV, H-Fi and DVD player for your entertainment. The fully fitted kitchen includes a tumble dryer, dishwasher and microwave for your convenience. The basement of the cottage is ideal for the storage of bikes and outdoor gear. The south facing garden has an unfenced stream where children must be supervised.
