Greenbrae is a nineteenth century farmhouse which has been sympathetically extended to provide excellent and accessible ground floor bed and breakfast accommodation. The farmhouse lies in the rolling farmland of Buchan and is just minutes away from the sea, spectacular cliff top walks and sandy beaches. This is the ideal base for touring the Castle Trail and there are many ruins in the local area including Slains Castle, on the cliff edge at Cruden Bay.
Greenbrae is just 12 miles from the RSPB reserve at The Loch of Strathberg and the pinkfooted geese who winter there can be seen and heard flying over the property at dawn and dusk. To the south is the Sands of Forvie National Nature Reserve with the largest breeding colony of Eider Duck in the UK. Seals can also be seen at Peterhead and Fraserburgh Harbours and Bottlenose Dolphin (best seen at the entrance to Aberdeen harbour), minke whales, harbour porpoises, Common and Risso's dolphin are also seen regularly.
