Homely self catering lodges and apartments near Oban and Fort William in the Scottish Highlands

Appin House is a small, family run, self catering complex set within a large, colourful and fragrant garden near Oban and Fort William in the Scottish Highlands. The complex enjoys an elevated position overlooking Loch Linnhe and to the south west visitors can see Castle Stalker, with the hills of Mull in the background. The house is surrounded by three acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, through which pathways lead to secluded resting places.

Appin House apartments are intended for couples only have been awarded a two star grading. The apartments began life a the quarters for servants of the house in pre-Georgian times and have now been converted to provide comfortable self catering accommodation. Shuna is on one level and overlooks the garden, sleeping two in a twin bedroom. The accommodation is suitable for a wheelchair user with assistant and has ramp access, wide doorways, grab rails etc. Lorne sleeps two in a double bedroom and has fabulous views down the Lyne of Lorne towards Mull. Tigh an Lios is a large architect designed house, sleeping 6 people in 3 bedrooms, and benefits from a large open plan dining/living room with digital TV and DVD player. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and has access to an en-suite wet room, suitable for wheelchair users. The well fitted kitchen and utility room provide a gas hob and double electric oven, dishwasher, fridges, freezer, microwave oven, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Rooms Description

Our two lodges, Birch and Pine, are wood clad lodges sleepng up to four people in one double and one twin bedroom just outside the main gates. Each of the lodges has been awarded four stars and have proved to be extremely popular with guests. The lodges are superbly equipped with colour TV and DVD and the kitchens are fully equipped with all that the self catering visitor is likely to need. A further property, Gate Lodge, occupies a commanding position above Loch Linnhe and is perfectly sited to enjoy exceptional views. The property sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms and the lounge is well equipped with multifuel stove, piano, stereo, Digital Freeview TV and video player. There is also a well equipped kitchen and extensive deck with gas barbecue for al fresco dining.

Specialities

Dogs are welcome in Pine Lodge by prior arrangement. Shuna ground floor apartment is wheelchair accessible.
