Charming self catering holiday cottage set in beautiful, unspoilt countryside close to Melrose. Family friendly and two dogs are welcome at the property.

Dimpleknowe Holiday Cottage is a modern, well-equipped detached bungalow situated at the northern end of the estates golf course. Set in beautiful, rolling countryside the cottage provides the perfect, family friendly accommodation for your holiday or short break to the area and sleeps up to five people. Dogs are welcome at the property and with two dogs per stay accepted. The estate is a haven for wildlife and during the day pheasants are regular visitors and buzzards can be seen circling in the air. At night, badgers, foxes and deer can often be seen enjoying their natural habitat. We are close to many walking and cycling routes and there are numerous lochs and rivers in the area providing excellent fishing. Set in a peaceful, rural location, we are just over one hours drive from Edinburgh and Newcastle.

The cottage provides comfortable and well appointed accommodation including a sitting room offering beautiful views of the surrounding area, three bedrooms (one being ensuite) and there is also an additonal bathroom. There is a well equipped kitchen/ dining area at the cottage with all the appliances you could need for a stress-free holiday including dishwasher, tumble dryer, microwave oven and fridge/ freezer.

Rooms Description

There are three bedrooms at the cottage, one double, one ensuite twin and one single. There is also a cot in the cottage (linen is not provided for this) and there is also a bathroom with overhead shower and newly installed suite.

Specialities

We have been rated as 3 star accommodation by the Scottish Tourism Board and the cottage has it's own enclosed garden providing a safe play area for children. Bed linen is provided and electric blankets are available if required. Guests to the accommodation enjoy reduced rates to the estates golf course.
