The villages of the East Neuk are also a very short drive away, with their picturesque harbours and attractive coastal walks.

St Andrews itself is one of the largest medieval towns in Scotland, set on its heeadland against a background of sea and distant hills on the North East coast of Fife. The town has no less than seven golf courses as well as the oldest university in Scotland.
