Caiplie House provides a relaxing base for your stay, whether you are in the area on business or pleasure. Your host, Finlay Kerr, creates optional evening meals made using fresh local produce and guests can make the most of the licence by enjoying a gin and tonic before dinner or a good bottle of wine during it!
The village of Crail is home to a well known pottery and the harbour and beach, popular with sunbathers, swimmers and canoeists, is just a short stroll away. Crail is one of the oldest royal burghs in Scotland and in 1310 was grated the unusual right to hold a Sunday market by Robert the Bruce, testament to its importance as a centre for fishing and trade. Fife is famous for its golfing a a wide variety of courses lie within easy reach of the accommodation. There are also a great number of opportunities for walking and cycling on the Fife Coastal Path and the many country roads threading the area.
