West Acres bed and breakfast is situated in a quiet location with easy access to St Andrews, just five minutes drive away from the famous 'Old Course'. The town was once the centre of religious life in medieval Scotland and is also home to one of the oldest universities in Scotland. The town is the home of golf and the sport has been played in the town for some 600 years. The town is also becoming more widely known for its shopping and is refreshingly free of the chain stores that dominate many shopping centres.

Outside of the town there are a wide range of visitor attracions including the Eden Estuary Nature Reserve, Craigtoun Country Park, the fishing village of East Neuk, Falkland Palace, Kellie Castle, the Fife Folk Museum and the Scottish Fisheries Museum.
