A charming self catering farmhouse for up six people in a secluded rural setting in the heart of the Dumfries and Galloway countryside, ideal for families

Meikle Barfil Farmhouse is a superb self catering holiday property for up to six people in the heart of the Dumfries and Galloway countryside. The cottage is ideal for families, being half a mile away from the nearest public road. The cottage enjoys magnificent views across unspoilt countryside. The property is accessed by private road and the only two buildings here are the cottage and the steading, where we live. The houses do not overlook one another, thus ensuring privacy during your stay.

The cottage has been open since July of 2007 and has a large, well equipped kitchen complete with cooker, microwave and fridge. The dining room has a modern table and seating for up to six people, an additional chair is available if a seventh person is staying. The separate living room with comfortable sofas is equipped with television, DVD player and digi box for your entertainment. There is a good sized back kitchen suitable for storing bikes, fishing rods etc and a utility room with additional fridge and washing machine.

Rooms Description

There are three main bedrooms, one double and two twin rooms (one of which is downstairs). There is also a box room, suitale for a cot and fitted with a chair bed which can be used for an additional child to sleep on.

Specialities

We are happy to accept one well-behaved pet by arrangement. There is no additional charge for this but we ask that visitors encourage their pet to respect our cottage.
