Craigie Guest House was built in 1896 and displays all the character and features you would expect from a house of the Victorian period. The B&B is conveniently located just five minutes from the train station, ten minutes from the centre of Ayr and the racecourse is just over the garden wall. Ayrshire itself hosts over 30 golf courses, including the famous Open Championship courses at Turnberry, Old Prestwick and Royal Troon and the municipal courses at Belleisle and Lochgreen.

For those travelling to Ayr to watch or participate in championship bowling at Scotland's National Bowling Centre, Craigie Guest House provides the ideal base, being just a five minute drive from the centre. Lovers of history will find no shortage of attractions in Ayrshire, with splendid castles including Cuzlean, Dundonald, Kelburn and Dean. Robert Burns was born in nearby Alloway and the Burns National Heritage Park celebrates his life and work. Here you can enjoy the audio visual Tam O'Shanter Experience before strolling the road to visit Burns Cottage.
